Five more COVID-19-related deaths were reported in the area from May 4th to Wednesday, and the number of people with the coronavirus who were hospitalized in Dubuque went up slightly. During the seven-day period, one more COVID-19-related death was reported in Dubuque County, as well as one more each in Grant, Iowa and Lafayette counties in Wisconsin and one in Jo Daviess County in Illinois. This is the first Dubuque County death reported since March. There were a total of eight people with COVID-19 hospitalized Wednesday at UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital and MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. That total was one higher than one week earlier.
