The temperatures seen Wednesday weren’t just high – they were record-breaking. According to the National Weather Service, Platteville set a new record high for May 11th as the temp hit 92 yesterday afternoon at the Platteville Regional Airport. The previous record for that date was 90 degrees – which was set in 1879. The record high for Thursday (May 12th) is also 90 degrees – and, based on the forecast, there could be another record high set today.
