MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin Badgers running back Braelon Allen set a high bar in his freshman season.
On more than one occasion, he earned a weekly honor and took home the Las Vegas Bowl MVP award. He also set Wisconsin’s longest streak by a freshman with seven straight 100-yard games, ultimately ending the year with over 1,200 yards on the ground.
Those accomplishments are the result and reflection of what he did on the field each and every week for the Badgers. It also caught the attention of another Badgers running back who ended up making a name for himself — Jonathan Taylor.
He says he has some advice for Allen as his career continues in Madison.
“A lot of times when you put in the hard work, you put in the effort, and you continue to see success on the field, you start getting pulled in a lot of different directions and might try to take some time away from that work,” Taylor said. “So, just letting him know to continue to stay on that routine, continue to have that hunger to get better each and every single day.”

As someone who set records himself, Taylor says he sees even more potential development in Allen’s future.
“I’m excited for him this year, I mean the sky’s the limit for that guy,” Taylor said. “He’s ridiculous.”
