The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has identified two person responsible for damaging several mailboxes in and around the Village of Eastman. On Sunday, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office found that 27 mailboxes had been damaged or tampered with. Mailboxes are protected by federal law, and crimes against them and the mail they contain are considered a federal offense. Violators can be fined up to $250,000 or imprisoned for up to three years for each act of vandalism.
