Caroline Harvey lit the lamp first for the Badgers just three and a half minutes into the game on the powerplay. The Bulldogs wouldn’t go quietly though, as Hanna Baskin netted her own powerplay goal just five minutes later.
The Bulldogs came out swinging in the second period and grabbed a 2-1 lead thanks to Gabby Krause, who scored within the first six minutes. Wisconsin was able to flip the switch though, scoring two unanswered goals in the second period and adding a third in the final frame thanks to Nicole LaMantia.
The Bulldogs pulled one back thanks to a powerplay goal by Ashton Bell, but it wasn’t enough as the Badgers took home the win 4-3.
It was a great day for Harvey, who found the net twice on 5 shots. She also pitched in on the defensive side of the puck, recording 3 blocks. Natalie Buchbinder and Maddi Wheeler had good games as well, with both recording a pair of assists.
Wisconsin’s record now sits at 10-2-0, 7-1-0 in WCHA play. They sit in third place behind Ohio State and Minnesota
The Badgers now get a chance to rest and recover ahead of a showdown with Minnesota, who visit LaBahn Arena on November 19 and 20.
