Gordon was an undisputed superstar during his time in Madison. In 2014, he rushed for over 2,500 yards and 29 touchdowns, helping the Badgers win the Big Ten West and the Outback Bowl. He won the Doak Walker Award, the Jim Brown Trophy and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
Gordon was selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the then-San Diego Chargers. He spent five seasons with the Chargers, moving with them to Los Angeles in 2017. He recorded 800+ rushing yards in three straight seasons for the Bolts and scored 10 rushing touchdowns in both 2016 and 2018.
The former Badger continued to pile on the rushing yards after moving to the Mile High City, posting 986 in 2020 and 918 last year. However, he has struggled to hold onto the ball. His five fumbles this season are the most since his rookie year.
Gordon’s 6,462 career rushing yards and 55 touchdowns in the NFL are the most ever by a Badgers alum.
