DENVER — Melvin Gordon’s time in Denver is up. The Broncos cut the former Wisconsin running back on Monday.
The Kenosha native signed with Denver ahead of the 2020 season, then re-signed with the team in April of this year on a one-year deal. He was one of the Bronco’s go-to running backs over the last two years, but struggled this season, fumbling five times — including a pivotal fumble at the goal line Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders — and averaging only 3.5 yards per carry.
