The names of the persons who died in a fatal crash Sunday between Prairie du Chien and Marquette have been released. 43 year old Tracy Jo Larson of Prairie du Chien and 36 year old Luke Hackman of Decorah, Iowa were killed in a head-on crash just before 11:30am. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle traffic crash on Highway 18 in the Township of Bridgeport, between the bridges of Prairie du Chien and Marquette. An investigation into the crash determined that Larson was driving a 2002 Cadillac Escalade eastbound on Highway 18 and Hackman was driving a 2007 Chevy truck westbound on Highway 18, and the two-vehicles collided head-on. As a result of the crash, the drivers of the vehicles were fatally injured. Hackman’s vehicle was occupied by an adult female and two-young-children. They escaped with non-life-threatening injuries. The highway was closed for approximately four and a half hours for crash scene reconstruction conducted by the Wisconsin State Patrol. The crash currently remains under investigation.
