Officials with the Lancaster Jaycees have announced that they were able to retain chapter status after an emergency meeting on Tuesday night. The Jaycees were at risk of closure due to low membership. Several new members stepped into board positions, meaning the organization will be able to continue to operate and put on events such as the annual Easter egg hunt, family fun night and the fireworks display. The Lancaster Jaycees is for young professionals ages 21 to 40.
