The Ridgeway Marshal’s Office received a report of an intoxicated man in the backyard of a residence on Level Street in Ridgeway Saturday just before 8:30pm. When the homeowner exited the residence to let his pets out, he discovered the intoxicated man. The suspect became aggressive with the homeowner, who retreated into his residence and called the police. The Marshal’s Office responded and located 59 year old Timothy Foley, formerly of Blue Mounds, in the parking lot near the residence. Foley started creating another disturbance yelling racial slurs. Foley was taken into custody. During the arrest, Foley resisted and intentionally spit at an officer. Foley was booked into the Iowa County Jail for a Probation and Parole hold. He was also booked into jail for the following charges; Disorderly Conduct, Disorderly Conduct with a Hate Crimes Enhancer, Resisting Arrest, Throwing or Discharding Bodily Fluids at a public safety worker, and Threats to a law enforcement officer. Assisting in the incident were the Barneveld and Dodgeville Police Departments and the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office.
