A mulch fire in Southwest Wisconsin is still burning. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office says the blaze, which started Sunday morning at the Tri Star Pallets factory in Cobb is expected to keep burning for several more days. Several area fire departments continue trying to get the burning compost under control as plumes of thick smoke hover the skies of the village below. The fire chief in Cobb advises residents to keep their homes closed up and to be on the alert for shifting winds. It’s unknown how much longer the fire would burn.
