Crews will be back on-site Monday to finish up Galena Street construction in Darlington. Work will continue throughout the month of April with anticipated completion by Friday, May 5th. The work that will be performed includes finishing setting blocks for walls between Union Grove Lane and South Huntington Court and installing railings on the top of walls with full width cap blocks. Crews will restore slopes behind block walls with topsoil, seed, and straw erosion mats. During this construction, the parking lane along southbound Galena Street will be closed with drums when work is occurring. Brief periods of flagging may be necessary for deliveries and moving equipment in and out of the work zone.
