Governor Tony Evers is seeking applicants to fill the vacancy that will be created when Milwaukee County judge Janet Protasiewicz assumes her new role on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Protasiewicz defeated her conservative opponent, Dan Kelly by a 56%-44% margin in Tuesday’s election. She is set to be sworn in August 1st and serve a 10-year term. Protasiewicz currently serves on Branch 24 of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. Applications for the job are due by 5 p.m. on April 12th. Whoever Evers appoints will serve through the current term ending July 31, 2024.
