Platteville police issue reminder on door-to-door sales in the community

Platteville police have issued a reminder to residents that city ordinances prohibit unlicensed door-to-door sales in the community. Police said in an online announcement that the department has received reports of individuals soliciting door-to-door sales of television services using aggressive sales tactics and attempting to enter residences. Residents are urged to avoid giving personal information to door-to-door salespeople and to contact police at 608-348-2313 with concerns about such solicitation.
