Authorities say a Lafayette County man slashed a woman with a kitchen knife across her neck and hands, sending her to the hospital. 32 year old Joseph Wallgren of Argyle was arrested on an initial charge of attempted homicide. According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, authorities received a 911 call at around 8:20pm Tuesday reporting that a 59-year-old woman had bene cut with a knife at a residence in the 100 block of Railroad Street in the Village of Argyle. The woman was transported by ambulance to Monroe Clinic Hospital for treatment of substantial, but non-life-threatening injuries. Wallgren was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody pending an initial court appearance.
