A man from Illinois crashed into a home in Platteville Township Sunday around 3:30am. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, 62 year old George Gorsline of Long Grove, Illinois was traveling west on County Highway B in Platteville and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Gorsline’s vehicle exited the roadway, striking a mailbox, then striking a home causing significant damage to the vehicle and the home. Gorsline refused medical attention at the scene. Upon investigation, Gorsline was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Precision Towing. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by UW Platteville Police, Platteville Fire, and Southwest Health EMS.
