The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a suspicious person on Old Potosi Road, just outside of Lancaster Tuesday around 5pm. A sheriff’s deputy responded and identified the person as 42 year old Brandon Pollard of Platteville. Due to strange behavior and signs of drug use, K9 Vezer was deployed. K9 Vezer found 16 grams of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $800 in the vehicle. The meth was seized along with various drug paraphernalia items. Pollard was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting an Officer. The Lancaster Police Department and Lancaster EMS assisted at the scene.
