A Green Alert has been issued for a Green County man believed to have been involved in a domestic incident Wednesday night, triggering a shelter in place order overnight. The statewide Green Alert says 35-year-old Paul Michael Anderson is now being considered a veteran at risk after an incident on Hay Hollow Road in rural Blanchardville. The Green Co. Sheriff’s Office says alcohol and a gun were involved in the incident, with Anderson allegedly firing a gun at someone before running into the woods nearby. No injuries were reported in the initial incident. The Green Co. Sheriff’s Office lifted the shelter in place order before 7 a.m. Thursday and said deputies will continue searching for him. It is anticipated that Anderson will be facing charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Intentionally Pointing a Firearm, Disorderly Conduct while Armed, Disorderly Conduct and Armed while Intoxicated when he is located. Assisting agencies include New Glarus Police, Monroe Police, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and personnel from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. Blanchardville and Green County EMS were staged in the area and the Argyle Fire Department responded with equipment. The community may go about their business and are encouraged to call 911 if they notice anything unusual in the area.
