Local County Fairs Get Boost From Compeer Financial

Three area county fairs have been awarded funding from Compeer Financial’s Fund For Rural America Program. The Grant County Fair in Lancaster, the Iowa County Fair in Mineral Point, and the Vernon County Fair in Viroqua will each receive $4000 to improve facilities. Grant County will use the money to remodel the staging area of the Auditorium inside the Youth & Ag Building. Iowa County Fair officials will be replacing posts in the beef barn. Compeer Financial this year awarded almost $228,000 to county fairs in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota.
