Two People Injured in Jo Daviess County Motorcycle Accident

Authorities say two people were injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday near Stockton. 21 year old Jonathon Peevey and 23 year old Alexis Ernst both of Stockton, were taken by ambulance to FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport for treatment of their injuries. According to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, Peevey was operating a motorcycle on Highway 78 near East Loran Road with Ernst as a passenger around 7 p.m. Saturday when the motorcycle struck gravel on the shoulder, left the roadway and overturned. Peevey was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
