Officials in Mineral Point say a fire destroyed a summer home Saturday night in Mineral Point. Firefighters responded shortly after 7 p.m. to a dwelling on Jackson Street for a report of a structure fire. According to Mineral Point Fire Chief Bryan Marr, the roof of the home was almost gone by the time firefighters got there. The home was totaled. There were no injuries, and Marr said no occupants were home at the time of the fire. Firefighters cleared the scene at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning. The fire is still under investigation.
