Highland Woman Arrested For Taking A Vehicle Without Consent

The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a stolen vehicle out of Highland on Sunday around 9am.  It was reported that a family member took the vehicle without permission. The vehicle was located in Richland County and the operator, 20 year old Mercedes Kelsey of Highland was taken into custody. Richland County authorities took Kelsey to the Iowa County Line where an Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy continued the transport of Kelsey to the Iowa County Jail. Kelsey is charged with Taking and Driving a Vehicle without the owner’s Consent, Felony Bail Jumping, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, as well as being held on a Probation Hold.
