A motorcyclist collided with a deer in Platteville Township Saturday around 5:05pm. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene. The incident resulted in serious injuries to both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 56 year old Patrick O’Dell of Spring Green. 46 year old Mindy Mork of Arena was riding as a passenger. They were traveling west on Prairie Road when a deer suddenly entered the roadway. The motorcycle struck the deer, causing it to go down and both occupants to be ejected from the bike. Cuba City Police, Southwest Health EMS, Platteville Fire, and Donnie’s Towing arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Due to the severity of their injuries, O’Dell was airlifted to receive immediate medical treatment, while Mork was transported by ground to a local medical facility.
