180 panels of a solar array are now helping power small businesses in Viroqua. The sun is now helping power the Vernon Economic Development Association’s Food Enterprise Center, a building housing 30 local companies tied to food and wellness products. VEDA worked for more than three years to bring solar to the Food Enterprise Center. Viroqua-based Ethos Green Power Cooperative installed the array. The food enterprise center supports more than 345 jobs in the Viroqua area. Nearly 100 of those jobs are on-site.
