Energizer is closing its southwestern Wisconsin plant in Fennimore, leading to 172 employees losing their jobs. In a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, the battery manufacturer said it will be permanently closing its facility in Fennimore. All of the employees working at the plant will be laid off. The facility will officially close in Sept. 2024, but the first round of layoffs is expected to start on December 1st this year.
