Fatal Crash in Iowa County

A 74-year-old Monroe man died in a crash east of Dodgeville Thursday afternoon. The crash was reported just after noon at the intersection of U.S. Highway 18/151 and County Highway Y between Dodgeville and Ridgeway. The Iowa County sheriff’s office said the victim, 74 year old David Koning, was heading north on Highway Y at Highway 18/151 when a semi-truck hit his vehicle. Koning died at the scene. No one else was in Koning’s vehicle. The sheriff’s office is still investigating the crash.
