The Grant County Solar Project has fully ramped up construction activities, moving further along with solar panel installation this summer. The metal piles that anchor the solar array to the ground are 75% installed as of late August, and the tracking system that rotates the panels daily with the sun is approximately 35% complete. After the tracker system is in place, crews follow behind to place the more than 432,000 solar panels that will generate the electricity for the project. More than 86,000 panels are in place, and thousands more are being installed every week. Crews expect to complete the Grant County Solar Project in the town of Potosi in the first half of 2024.
