Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH F in Fayette Township for a two vehicle accident just before 6am Tuesday. 17 year old Anthony Morrone of Darlington was traveling south on County Highway F when he lost control of his vehicle due to black ice. Morrone crossed the center line and struck a vehicle traveling north, driven by 20 year old Cayden Rankin of Darlington. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Both drivers were uninjured. Rankin’s passenger, 20 year old Parker Fitzsimons of Darlington was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
