Fatal Rollover Crash Near Fennimore

Friday night, around 11:30pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Department responded to a one vehicle rollover crash on Green River Road in Mount Ida Township. 18 year old Kasey Walker of Fennimore was westbound on Green River Road when his truck began to swerve in the gravel road, before losing control and entering the shoulder. Walker’s truck left the roadway, stuck a fence, traveled over a concrete culvert, and rolled. Walker’s truck rolled an undetermined amount of times before striking a tree, rolling again, and coming to a rest. Walker was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, sustaining severe injuries as a result of the crash. Walker was taken by Fennimore EMS to Boscobel Area Health Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Fennimore Fire Department, Fennimore EMS, and Collision Specialists of Fennimore. The crash remains under investigation. This is the 5th fatal crash in Grant County in 2023.
