On Monday the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a pickup truck on State Highway 35 in the Township of Freeman. The operator of the truck was identified as 44-year-old Jamie Iverson of DeSoto. Iverson displayed indicators of drug impairment and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit (Diego) was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the truck. Iverson’s truck was searched resulted in Iverson being arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail. She is charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, battery to a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and failure to comply with officer(s) attempt to take a person into custody. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Legacy Towing and Crossing Rivers Health.
