Motor Vehicle Accident-Personal Injury

At approximately 3:06 AM, Saturday, Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s Department along with Green County EMS responded to Highway 81 in the Town of Monroe, for a report of a single vehicle accident. An investigation found that a vehicle driven by 19 year old Desiree Koss of Darlington had lost control and struck a gate on the South side of the roadway. Koss and her passenger, 20 year old Dillan Walters of Monroe both sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital via EMS. Koss and Walters both reported wearing their seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment within the vehicle. Koss’ vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
