The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is reminding property owners in the state to double check their property tax bills for the lottery and gaming credit. While the credit won’t be as lucrative as the lottery itself, it could save homeowners a few hundred dollars off their taxes. To be eligible, one must be a Wisconsin resident, own a dwelling and use that dwelling as their primary residence as of Jan. 1, 2023. If eligible, property owners should file their applications with the county treasurer where their dwelling is located. Application forms are available on the Wisconsin Department of Revenue website.
