A loose dog attacked and killed another dog in Reedsburg Monday afternoon, police said. In a statement to News 3 Now, Reedsburg Police Chief Patrick Cummings said the incident was reported at around 2:48 p.m. in the 1400 block of 19th Street. Cummings said the loose dog had gotten into the other dog’s back yard. After killing the other dog, who was leashed, the loose dog then bit the finger of the leashed dog’s owner and caused a minor injury. A Reedsburg police officer was eventually able to find the loose dog, and it was taken into custody by the Sauk County Humane Society. An 83-year-old Reedsburg man was cited and issued a Declaration of a Vicious Animal.
