A Spring Green man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a small plane crashed in a field near the Sextonville Airport in Richland County. Richland County Sheriff Clay Porter says the crash was reported around 6 p.m. Thursday. He says plane went down near the Sextonville Airport, which is southeast of Richland Center. Porter says the plane was found in a field south of County Highway BA. Deputies and emergency personnel helped get the 54-year-old man out of the plane. UW Med Flight took the man to UW Hospital. Sheriff Porter says the National Transportation Safety Board was contacted about the crash.
