An official for a local United Auto Workers chapter said the strike against an East Dubuque fertilizer plant has ended after 129 days. Doug Glab, president of UAW Local 1391, said the strike against East Dubuque Nitrogen Fertilizers LLC ended with a union membership vote Saturday to accept a proposed contract agreement. Glab met with the company on Wednesday, and they proposed an offer to membership to vote on. On Saturday, they had their vote and the contract passed. Glab said union members will return to work on Monday March 4.
