Drunk Driver Heavily Damages Grab-A-Cone

On Saturday around 11pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash in the Village of Montfort. Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and identified 23 year old Tyde Benson of Darlington as the driver who swerved, lost control of his Ram truck and ran into the Grab-A-Cone building. Benson was not injured during the crash. The building sustained heavy structural damage as a result of the crash. An investigation was done and Tyde was placed under arrest for Operating while Intoxicated. Precision Auto, of Platteville, assisted in removal of the vehicle.
