Galena High School’s servant leadership organization is planning an upcoming run to raise awareness of cancer. According to a report, the Color for a Cause event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday on the Galena High School track according Admission to the event is $5 per person, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. All ages are welcome to participate. The announcement states that local families affected by cancer will be throwing out colored powder on the participants in honor of their loved ones. Eye protection such as sunglasses is recommended for runners, who are encouraged to wear white for the colors to show up best.
