Guests at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque now can get up close and personal with one of the aquarium’s iconic occupants. Beginning Saturday, June 1, visitors will be able to book an opportunity to feed and interact with the aquarium’s giant Pacific octopus The encounters will be offered once a day at 2 p.m. for groups of up to six people. The 30-minute octopus encounters cost $125 for up to six people. Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. A press release states that the river museum is only one of two facilities in the Midwest to offer such an experience.
