A Dubuque County jury has found a man guilty of murder in the death of his mother. 29-year-old Tyler J. Dazey of Dubuque was charged in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County with first-degree murder and animal abuse in relation to the Jan. 18 death of his mother, Jennifer Dazey, and her dog, Echo. A jury this afternoon found Dazey guilty on both counts. A first-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
