Fennimore man arrested for sexual assault of a child

A man from Fennimore, 43-year-old William Heyer, was arrested Monday, August 19, on a warrant for two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child. These charges were the result of a complaint received by the Rockford, Illinois Police Department and investigated y the Fennimore Police Department. Heyer’s past residences include Bagley and the Rockford/Loves Park/Belvidere, Illinois areas. Anyone looking for assistance in reporting similar acts can contact the Fennimore Police Department and the on-duty officer will assist them in connecting with law enforcement from the appropriate jurisdiction. The Fennimore Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Grant County Department of Social Services, Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and the Grant County District Attorney’s Office.
