Greater Dubuque Development Corporation, in partnership with IowaWORKS, is hosting an AccessDubuqueJobs.com Hiring Fair on Thursday, September 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Steeple Square in Dubuque. This hiring fair is a critical component of regional rapid response efforts to assist workers impacted by recent layoffs. John Deere Dubuque Works announced layoffs in July and August, impacting 133 workers, including 34 salaried employees and 99 production workers. Additionally, Duluth Trading in Dubuque announced on August 22, 2024, that 74 workers will be impacted, with terminations beginning on October 27. Up to 50 regional employers will be in attendance, representing a wide array of industries. These employers are offering opportunities that range from entry level to professional careers, providing something for job seekers at every stage of their career journey.
