Members of the Amish community are spreading a message of forgiveness and thanking the community for its support after allegations of harassment against them were reported by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office. Members of the Amish Church of La Valle said the Reedsburg football players involved in the incident have apologized to them. The church members also wished the team a successful season in their statement. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office released more information Tuesday after nine Reedsburg-area students were cited for disorderly conduct, saying a group of Reedsburg-area teens were accused of blowing airhorns late at night and shining lights at homes, among other things. The School District of Reedsburg also released a statement Tuesday, saying it was disappointed to learn about the allegations against students in the district. An investigation around these allegations from the district prompted the cancellation of the first two varsity football games of the season.
