The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and The Dodgeville Police Department are planning details for escorting U.S. Army Cpl. Robert Raess of Dodgeville, who was reported missing in action during the Korean War and was accounted for on March 26th. The escort will take place from Milwaukee to Dodgeville, on Thursday September 5th, 2024 with the escort proceeding through downtown Dodgeville at approximately 7:30 pm. The escort will end at Gorgen McGinley & Ayers Funeral Home on East Grace Street in Dodgeville. The family and Dodgeville VFW Post 7345 request people place American flags along the route, especially in Dodgeville, as a tribute to U.S. Army CPL. Raess as he is returned home.
