The Met Gala’s next theme and celebrity chairs have been unveiled, with Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, and LeBron James launching the exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor, will co-chair the event on May 5th, known for its iconic red carpet and fundraising success. The dress code, inspired by the exhibit’s theme, will be revealed in early 2025. Vogue says the Superfine show, for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will “take the Black dandy as its subject, examining the importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora.” (THR)
