Disney has removed the planned the Marvel reboot of Blade, starring Mahershala Ali, from the schedule, with no new date set. In its place, Predator: Badlands will debut in November 2025. Marvel has also added 3 untitled projects for 2028. The decision to remove Blade was anticipated due to Marvel’s new plan to release a maximum of 3 movies annually. The film, first announced back in 2019, has also famously faced multiple setbacks, including director changes and various production delays, prompting Marvel to prioritize quality rather than rush the project forward. Wesley Snipes’ version of the character appeared as one of the many superhero cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine, in which he says: “There’s only been one Blade. There will only ever be one Blade.” (Variety)
