A telephone network outage is affecting 911 service for landline phones in the Stockton and Hanover area. The outage could prevent 911 calls from reaching the Galena call center, according to a press release from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department. Officials advise that anyone experiencing an emergency during the outage contact the sheriff’s department at 815-777-2141 or contact the local fire or police department.
