John Deere says it’s laying off more production workers at its Waterloo Operations. In a statement, John Deere says approximately 110 employees will be placed on indefinite layoff effective January 3rd. The company says challenging market conditions and reduced demand for equipment led to the decision.
John Deere says its net income is down $3 billion in fiscal year 2024. Reports indicate Deere has cut more than 1,700 jobs in Iowa this year.
