New CEO of Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County announced

Marie Wamsley has been named the next CEO of Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. Wamsley, who served as chief financial officer at the Darlington hospital from 2008 to 2013, will assume her new post Dec. 16. She most recently served as MercyOne regional director of finance for critical access hospitals of the Eastern Iowa Region. Kathy Kuepers, who served as the hospital’s CEO since 2018 and had a 42-year career at the hospital, announced in August her plans to retire. Her last day is Friday, Dec. 13. The hospital is expected to open a new facility in spring 2025 and rebrand as Lafayette Hospital + Clinics.
