A senior in the Pecatonica Area School District is running for a seat on the district’s school board, aiming to bring positive changes to his community. Trevor Doescher says Pecatonica area schools have served him and his family well over the last several decades. However, Doescher, currently serving as a student representative on the school board, believes that conditions have changed. He points to declining test scores as a key issue with far-reaching effects. Though Doescher is set to graduate in May 2025, he hopes to remain in the area and serve as a school board member. The Spring Election will be held on April 1. The Pecatonica Board of Education currently has two board seats up for election.
