Spencer Boldman Set To Portray Ronnie Milsap In Upcoming Biopic

Spencer Boldman announced on Instagram on Monday (December 30) that he will be playing the lead role in a new biopic about country music legend Ronnie Milsap. The film is based on Milsap’s autobiography, Almost Like a Song, and will be executive produced by Gary Negherbon along with Boldman’s longtime manager, Antonia DeNardo, with Boldman also serving as an executive producer on the project. Milsap will serve as a producer on the film, and gave Boldman his blessing to portray him in the biopic after the actor spent some time with the musician at his Nashville home. “It is an honor for me to help execute Ronnie’s incredible story as well as portray him in the film,” Boldman said in a statement. “Having personally spent time with this living legend and get his blessing, is a gift. I can’t wait to make him and his fans proud.” (Variety)
