A southwest Wisconsin hospital now offers a preventative screening program for women. Grant Regional Health Center is offering the Wisconsin Well Woman Program, which helps women who are underinsured or have no health insurance receive health screenings at no charge, according to a press release. The program covers mammograms, pap tests and other screenings to prevent illness. Women may be eligible for the services if they are aged 40 through 64, live in Wisconsin and make at or below 250% of the federal poverty level. Certain screenings will be offered at Grant Regional Community Clinic locations in Lancaster, Fennimore, Cassville and Potosi. A social worker can connect women to locations where the services are most convenient for them. Call or test 608-853-1959 to begin the process of accessing the program or go to dhs.wisconsin.gov/wwwp for more information.
